Nice. The second one is especially compelling, with the rubble in the foreground.

As for image size, I usually just resize pictures before uploading them to whatever photo-hosting site you are using (in your case, Imgur). I typically just resize mine in Microsoft Paint. There are many other apps that you can do it within (like Photoshop), but assuming you're on a PC, Paint is easy and free. I usually resize to 1024 pixels wide x whatever proportionate height. That seems to read well on a typical monitor display.

Whats all that rubble from or for? Is it the old Wholeys Ice building? Last I heard I thought is that the development fell through for that spot so not sure what will become of it.

That's the location. I haven't seen any updates on the development, so if that's the case it'll be interesting what comes next.

Between the color of the glass and some of the subtle details, this tower is shaping up to be more of a looker than I expected.

Yes it is looking good but I wish it were taller. Yesterday I was near the City Theatre on the South Side and could barely see it poke above its neighbors.

It looks spectacular from Butler Street and the Hill District. The building is highly visible from some vantage points.

^ I agree with you both: it looks awesome from certain nearby vantage points, but would look more prominent from farther away if it had ~10 more floors.

Taken by me this morning:

Nice shots! Looking good... love seeing a significant building like this rise in Pittsburgh.

I think the last time we witnessed this was the PNC Tower approx 8-10 years ago?

And I guess the next ones are the UPMC Presby expansion:

And the YWCA apartments?:

The UPMC building looks great! Are there plans for anything else taller than 400'? I have been to Pittsburgh 5 times spanning 2003-2015 and each time there was a strong case that Pittsburgh's skyline was either on par with, or outright better than, my home city. The Mount Washington view in particular is absolutely world class. However, since then my city boomed while Pittsburgh stagnated, and the skylines are no longer on par. It saddens me more to see lesser cities such as Austin (and upcoming Nashville) overshadow more established skylines in the Northeast and Midwest regions. I hope Pittsburgh can see another resurgence and get some flashy new buildings for its skyline like Boston did! Good luck!

I will post construction updates for the new Presby tower.

The proposed YMCA tower's random balconies mimic the random brick work of the neighboring Bank Tower @ Fourth and Wood Avenues.

Thanks for the updates!

Kinda giving me minor Dallas Thanksgiving Tower vibes.

Even though it's about 100 feet too short for the location, this tower is looking good and adding a significant presence on the skyline from many vantage points.

Haven't been up to the West End Overlook recently to check out if it is even visible from the Pittsburgh skyline "money shot" location, but from the West End Bridge yesterday, it can barely be seen.

I just checked recent photos on Google Maps. Yes, it is visible from the West End Overlook, though barely:
