alon w/ being a very beautiful and pleasing photo, the photo provided by threehundred really gets the attention of the viewer, or at least, this one. if it just happens to feature the horzentionality of the buildings, it really accomplishes the feature, on the other hand, other shots are also pleasing to the eye. it is a pretty city that shows so much of the depth, verticality, styles, and what is available in the future w/ this city. totally engaging and warm. beautiful sky, moon, clouds, and almost, if not, makes this viewer live the very experience now. a really good job. congtrats! kingchef

bellvue is very impressive and turning into quite a city. it really has grown since my last visit. is this going to mainly represent the corporate area of a full business hub, housing units, communities, schools, and retail?

in canada, our developers are doing so many things right regarding urban growth. i think they finally get the idea that sprawling outward cannot alone be sustained. as a result we have developers that are seemingly enlightened. towers are being built in record smashing numbers throughout canada. toronto for example, has so many massive towers being built that one wonders when, not if, it will surpass chicago as north america's second skyline. if the amount of proposals and their sheer size is any indication, this will happen in short order.
indeed, even calgary, it being long regarded as "sprawlgary", is also making great strides toward densification. the beltline district is growing upward at good pace. calgary also has many developers proposing large condo projects in most areas of the central landscape of the city. greatly improving the urban fabric of this city. a new kind of calgary is emerging that is actually showing some form of urban awareness. calgarians are actual waking up to the fact that living together in highly densified areas can be a desirable way of living.. this is new to calgary which in the past has shown very little interest in upscale high rise living; however, a new and young generation of calgarians is showing much more interest in this lifestyle as apartment towers are selling out all over the city center.
it is indeed a good time to be a canadian, urban developer. even more importantly. it is a great time to be a canadian who love's skyscrapers.

Amazing cluster! Looks very impressive. Toronto is N.A.'s skyline-increasing darling in recent years.

It reminds me of Moscow's rising skyscraper cluster:

Taken within a few weeks after the fire, I'd guess. Amazing how much cargo was still being moved by sail in 1906, isn't it. Also, on another thread, someone asked about some homes on Russian Hill that survived the fire. You can see them in this photo - residents stayed behind and swatted the embers with wet cloths as they landed on the homes, thus saving them from catching fire.
