I wasn't asking for the bridge to be broken up; read what I proposed just a few posts up.

Sacamano, It was exactly what i did to estimate the podium height, the half of the midreises.

Just confirming, for me this complex should not be divided, as we have the category 'Hole' and this skybridge, it is a double-floor one, make this big Hole between skybridge and private street. That is the thin connection among all, but it the most important part the complex, imo. The use here counts on, because all residents have to pass through the bridge to go to the spa, that is just in one tower.
I included more in bldg card the info pdf pages.

I was mostly refering to towers 3 and 4 whose fate could also be under consideration.

I was a fan of fading. However, if I remember correctly, the vast majority of editors are illustrators at heart and weren't interested in anything of the sort. They couldn't care less about the statistical side of the database and saw shading only as compromising their works of art. Most of them would probably scream if the photo section were ever re-instated.

The bridge is also too integral to the design to use a 90 degree plane (no need for shading) which would hide both the bridge and second tower from view.

Exactly Bob, we illustrators are most against the photo section while the main goal here are the diagrams (we do not want a second emporis) and accurate, complete info in bldg cards. Photos are just references in the sources, which could be a note there as i put like photo links, but not the main objective. Photos are a very second away importance, diagrams are the most interesting talent of art to be shown. So the hole here is to be shown as main characteristic this complex and should be in evidence, imo. And the main spot is the skybridge, like in Petronas is. Of course in Koops diagram could have background of layers among podium, midrise and higher towers behind to show deepness, more than everything flat like the rendering. Rotating a little bit could be very interesting as well to show how is the view in anaconic 3d all complex, the side of midrise and podium also at side to be seen, not only the front view, but i would not lose the concept 'hole' with shadow upper shadow in the higher towers, would make confusion.

In the drawing of Parade that I'm currently working on, I am making it from a southeast view, so the eastern sides of the podium, both midrises, and the square highrise are visible. This is tricky, since I cant find any renders showing those sides...
I agree that rotating it to show a west or east view, which would hide the bridge, would be a wasted effort for any illustrator.

Yeah koops, this is nice, but try to keep both diagrams, the front view one as secondary maybe and this southeast as primary, imo.

LOL - What an awesome plan!

I'm sure when it's built there will be some differences between the real thing and the renders and a new drawing will then be nessessary.

I've submitted my Parade drawing, let's see how you guys think it turned out. I'll make any modifications that may be nessessary. I had to make some extrapolations to account for rotating it slightly, and I changed the sunlight from a morning to an afternoon view as well. (compared to the render on the cityplace website)

There's a newer version?

Some take alot longer than others. Some take a few days, others just a few hours. Depends on how much spare time I have of course...

The brick townhouses were dropped for a podium structure and separate loft building well over a year ago.

Nice work on N1/N2. I think it looks more photo realistic than your West One.

Thanks... I might tweak West One to give it the same kind of finish, and I have to do more work on Luna Vista too.

My latest drawings, uploaded since Feb. 11/09:

258 Victoria and 2175 Lake Shore only had drawings, no renders, so I have no idea what colors they are supposed to be.

Still waiting for a render, or at least a drawing, of Skyline Tower... I'm afraid Harry Stinson cursed the site...

Good stuff although Platinum seems a little off. Also, Platinum XO is a carbon copy of Platinum.

Unrelated

Do you have to provide a reference when you submit a drawing? I still don't get how all these proposals can be drawn without infringing on copyright protection laws.

Are you saying I (or any other illustrator) can get into some kind of trouble for making a drawing of a proposed building?

If Platinum XO is the same as Platimum, and both are 36 floors, why is XO 3 metres shorter? How do you mean by 'off'? The color? The massing? I tried to make it as close to the render as I could, as I do all my drawings.

They are the same height. I can only assume Platinum's estimated height was upgraded to Emporis' when your drawing got approved.

The horizontal banding between the green glass and the whitish pre-cast is quite pronounced
