Photobucket minimizing free accounts

I'm sure i'm not the only member here that just got an e-mail from photobucket telling me they're going to be shrinking their free accounts from 10gb to 2.5gb of free storage and since i'm over that 2.5gb limit already I won't be able to post any more pictures after January 15 without paying.

I don't blame photobucket for shrinking the free accounts because 10gb is a lot but I was surprised they're making such a drastic reduction, I figured 25% or 50% would have been more reasonable shrinkage

Yeah, I've just seen it on The Dead Pixels Society - Photobucket announces changes to free accounts Photobucket official. They also indicated a vague reason for that. Though, as far as I can judge, the premium accounts will benefit.
