Ithaca Visit 2015

I spent a few days in Ithaca last week. I hadn't been there in a couple of years, so of course I had to take some pics. These were all taken within the city limits (6 square miles). Here goes:

This post had so many cool things, I can't even begin to describe the photos I liked the best. It makes me want to take a grand tour of the Great Lakes region.

Outstanding photos! I've never been to Ithaca, but after this thread I sure want to go.

Meh, Ithaca is such a waste of time. Trumansburg is where it's at.*

*My brother-in-law once overheard a hippie type say in Ithaca Commons. He had to laugh.

Thanks for the replies.

For those interested in visiting, the summer is the best time. The fall is nice too, but visit before November - otherwise you might get snowed in.

@ rousseau - he was probably some guy still trippin' from the T-burg Grassroots Festival.

Simply gorges.

Love Ithaca. Thursday jaunts to the Common Ground saved me during my years at Hobart+ William Smith one lake over. Any chance that is still up and running?

Thanks guys,

@ Shasta - Common Ground closed a while back, but was replaced by Oasis Dance Club. I understand that closed a couple of months ago. If you ever get back to Ithaca there is still Felicia's Atomic Lounge on the West End, and Silky Jones on the Commons.

Enjoyed this tour along Ithaca!

I have liked Ithaca and the green wild areas around it. I would like to visit Ithaca by Fall, or even by Winter. The landscapes there look amazing.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain.

That's one freaky - and thus cool - spider.

Love this set. Ithaca looks stylisch all right. Cornell seems like what you imagine an American campus would look like. Nice.

I worked in Owego for 2 years. My boss rented us a place in Collegetown. The Cycling opportunities were incredible. Lots of Talent there...
