And the park (and the saving of the stairs) is a huge win, esp if it will be maintained by Durst. If that's the case, it's a win win for the neighborhood.

Excited for this deadzone to be filled in.

All those years of focus south of the BFB. The real glory is going to be north of the BFB from here all the way to Beach Street.
It's gonna go quick, I bet.

I also love it if they reinstated the marina. That was awesome.

So glad to see this happening, and the park is great. One criticism, all the metal panels at the top, but also running down the angled-north facing side of the tower (river side), man that's a lot of metal. Originally I thought it was a darker colored glass, nope - metal.

Retail

Not a huge fan of how the retail is separated and elevated from Delaware Ave. Reminds me--in a bad way--of that Wawa strip mall at 21st and Hamilton. Otherwise I really like the project.

It reminds me of the Crown Plaza in Detroit:

Love how this area is developing. It’ll be interesting to see if that Dave and Busters pier gets a high rise proposal. I wouldn’t be surprised if we keep seeing some higher builders here and in SoNo.

Btw - what’s this area called? Is it SoNo, old city, or something different?

I once saw a reference to "River's Edge" and I quite like the name. It certainly should be its own neighborhood--I-95 and the BFB divide it from most everything else!

Ahhh, I like Rivers Edge. It’s a keeper! Petition the city, someone.

Is anyone else concerned about the size, massing, and finish of the crown on this one? It's a 5-story tall gray box.

Correct it is another non update. I take the 25 bus passed this site a few times a month and the trailers have been there for quite some time and no real construction activity.

There’s been stuff stored on site here since the beginning of the Del River trail work that’s across Delaware Ave.The old light poles have been stored here along with huge concrete cylinders that I assume are for sewage/water management. My guess is that Durst let the DRWC (who sold the land to Durst) use it for staging/storage until Durst is ready to move.

But yeah, no obvious project-related movement as of yet.
