Probably material delays. Construction industry is still feeling it hardcore.

Any word on whether the residential tower is still in the plans? I think some green space here could be great, if it’s upkept. I’d just hate to lose that tower

I've said this before but this is my favorite new building in Philly. It looks so damn good. I need this but 3x as tall and half as wide. Add in the residential tower that's planned here and what was once a pretty awful looking block has become one of the best looking in the city. So excited for the continued revitalization of Wash Sq. West/Midtown Village.

Agreed. Now if only the action could spread East.

But I think Arthaus edges out this as my favorite new building, the silhouette does it for me.

It appears that the western half of the block is all but complete for this first phase and isn’t being used as a lay down area anymore. Really wish the city would force them to reopen the lane of traffic as well as the sidewalk on 12th. It is like playing frogger as a pedestrian on 12th these days!

Instead, they’ve recently removed their Jefferson banners that were covered in graffiti and put those green fake pine branches in the fences ^^ and so they seem to be doubling down on the (unnecessary) closure.

Perhaps this has been covered but I saw that District Taco has bailed from their Market St location and to make matters worse they had a sign directing people to their KOP location.

Any word on what will move in that site?

Bummer but not surprising. Eastern Market is a disaster right now.

What a bummer. There's just not enough office workers on a M-F to sustain this amount of retail. I know a lot of forumers have been posting about how "bustling" the city is....but I'm not seeing it in the main retail corridors Walnut - Arch, River to River. It's quiet on a Tuesday at 1p. PPP loans are now long gone. Like, we need office workers to start coming back, soon.
