How up to date is the first page? Is the Lakeshore East Site I still an active proposal? I think that may be my favorite this cycle, along with Vista and OSC.

320 Sangamon

Riding finishers also fly…

I think the leasing site for this building is new too. I had not noticed the faceted details in the brick previously. I like the depth of the facade details, but wonder if it is precast instead of hand laid brick.

Those are 100% precast panels, but there's a difference between stamped brick and thin brick veneer. Thin brick veneer is real brick with real mortar in between, that's been applied to the panel in the shop.

The appearance is identical to "hand-laid" brick, except that there is necessarily seams between panels. A clever architect will do something like what we see at 320 Sangamon and use the brick in an unusual way that both hides the seams (stack bond pattern) and honestly expresses the precast framing behind (the facets)

Looks great! I'm digging the frosted glass on the parking component. Is this the next one up after 333?

Also looks like some planned park space across the street in the rendering, immediately north of 333. Anyone know if that's just filler for the rendering or if that's actually planned there?

No, I think the parking is filler. Unless things have changed recently, Sterling Bay doesn't own that block... the south half is owned by Onni Group, who is also is planning the tower south of K2. The north half is owned by Pickens Kane for truck parking.

At one point the city was reserving space for a rail right of way cutting through the middle of these parcels... K2's long skinny dog park is part of this. In theory the new rail line would split from the Metra tracks around Sangamon St and continue due east to the dog park location, where it would descend into a tunnel to the underground "West Loop Transportation Center".

When the early drawings for 360 Green came out, it looked like the building footprint would obstruct the right of way, but the latest design shows a cantilever there that might be intended to keep the future right-of-way open.

^ Is that 444 N Lasalle? If so, it is a 12 story office tower U/C on a former surface lot.
