Trillist was proposing to use this for their Crescent Ave tower proposal back in 2020. Curbed noted even with that potential transfer they would still have 25,000SF of residential rights left to transfer.
Georgia Tech picks developer for Technology Enterprise Park

Trammell Crow Co. will develop the next phase of Georgia Tech’s biosciences and health innovation district in West Midtown, jump-starting a project first planned nearly a decade ago, according to sources familiar with the expansion.
The $325 million phase will include two buildings, with 370,000 square feet of lab and office space and 280 apartments, said Tony Zivalich, head of real estate at Georgia Tech.
It is modeled after Midtown's Tech Square, the nucleus of Atlanta’s rapidly growing technology ecosystem. Technology Enterprise Park could be twice as large, Zivalich said. It may contain up to 610,000 square feet for labs and research, 1 million square feet for offices, 100,000 square feet for commercial space and 416 apartments.
That is MUCH better than that one rendering someone posted yesterday. Seeing it in context it makes more sense. Hopefully, this is actually what they build.
There is a channel on YouTube that has many vlog videos by Nelson Sullivan in the late 80’s. They visit the Atlanta airport, drive by Atlanta stadium while widening the connector, and a drive through midtown right after IBM tower was built. Another at Lenox mall in 89.
