Brightline said seven trucks delivered a total of 150 tons of structural steel beams over a two-day period. The beams will serve as the main structural element at the MiamiCentral station.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to see it. I have go to MIA Airport to see my friends. I am very sorry about that. I don't have much time. I took on tri-rail to Miami Airport station and then MIA Movers. It was great rides. I haven't rode on Tri-Rail for over a decades. I miss all of those guys. I knows how to used on the bus, trains skills very well.

The Orlando intermodal terminal at OIA is enormous -- this must be one of the largest train terminals under construction in the country.

I also find it amazing that with Brightline, a total of 4 train stations are under construction at the same time in the state of Florida (Miami, Ft Laud, West Palm, Orlando). For a state that has prioritized highway construction over mass transit for decades, this is a big deal.

Are you suggesting that TriRail and SunRail didn't get any State funds at all? That Miami hasn't built two different urban mass transit systems? That Disney World doesn't have the largest and most used monorail system in the USA, and possibly the world? That Amtrak doesn't run three long distance trains to Florida? That's all over and above the privately funded Brightline service being built today?

Prahaboheme? Let's also not forget that Florida was created by the expansion of railroads with Henry Flagler & his FEC railroad on the East coast and Henry Plant on the west coast of Florida over a century ago..

Also Sunrail's Phase 3 will connect the Commuter rail line from Sand Lake Rd. to OIA in a couple of years.
Orlando needs some type of LRT also to make both end points functional.

This is a win-win situation for both metros.

Orlando needs a rail system with frequent service. Orlando is a major North American tourist city. People coming into the airport will not use it if the trains run every 2 hours.

Great pics Lakelander -- I like the consistency in station design for the Miami, Ft Laud, and WPB stations.

Lakelander cool pics and thanks for the update. Does the first pic of the Miami Central station look like it's actually 5 stories above ground?
Also any evidence of the Tri-Rail platforms being built yet?
