I’m glad we are not live in South Florida anymore. It’s getting more overcrowded, too much traffic, too much rain, and too expensive. Florida has too many hurricanes. Too tired of them!

ODA must be really busy with their portfolio. IMO, this is a nice design for the area. New round of new tallest or close 2nd and 3rds.

Lol, great contribution there from a location where they have a legit worry of running out of water.

Well, Fort Lauderdale just finished elections for city some commissioners, and from what I've read most are upset over the overdevelopment. We'll see in the coming months of their definition of overdevelopment and their plans in office.

I’m surprised by the height since the more south of downtown the closer the height adjacency to FLL!

45-story tower could be tallest in Fort Lauderdale
https://www.bizjournals.com/southflo...auderdale.html

Quote:
The city’s Development Review Committee will consider plans for the 1.26-acre site at 101 S.E. Seventh St. on Nov. 29. In June, the parking lot was acquired for $17.05 million by 116 SE 6th Court Towers LLC, managed by Levon Capital and Ozer Neiman in Jackson, New Jersey.

The plans call for a 572,498-square-foot project featuring 630 units, 5,682 square feet of commercial space and a 713-space parking garage. There would be an amenity deck on the 10th floor with a pool, a chef’s kitchen, a spinning room, a lounge, a gym, a yoga room, a spa, a dance room, a gaming lounge, coworking space and a library.
The residential units would range from 400 to 1,010 square feet.
There would be a series of decorative columns on the side of the building and extending above the roofline, bringing the tower to 556 feet tall.

It appears that there is still to be a further final DRC review:

This is under FAA review. Looks like they are going for 574 ft above ground. One of the tallest within the area.

It would be the tallest in Broward County and bring back the tallest to downtown Fort Lauderdale! The current tallest is the Beach Club Tower 2 @ 505ft in the City of Hallandale Beach:

I believe Ft. Lauderdale should be the next Ft. Lauderdale. A bigger, taller Ft. Lauderdale, that is!
