It seems they were once considering a larger tower for the site, something closer in height to Steinway...








This tower will be in the line of view of Central Park from 53w53. I hope we get something designwise on the level of 53w53 and Steinway.

LOL, I assume you are referring to 712 5th Avenue (the tower basically front and center.)

That ain't cinderblock. It's pearly-gray marble, gray limestone, and black granite.

Just needs some refurbishment. Not sure if it has had that since it was completed in 1990

well thank goodness. the crown looks like cinderblock in that view.

I like it. It really does complement 111 W 57th.



Good intentions with the designers. Unlike that POS Tower 5th, which is in the ashtray of history.
