Yes, there are. The floors they’re currently building are mechanical. You can see that from some of the earlier and other diagrams.

Norman Foster & Partners have been a force behind the renewal of Park Avenue office space. As things are currently headed, he will have had a hand in 3 brand new towers on Park Avenue (425 Park, 270 Park, 350 Park). But he's also active in the other New York areas of development - 50 Hudson in Hudson Yards, 2 WTC Downtown, and 15 Penn in the upcoming Penn District. These are all enormous towers that have impact on the skyline.

On Park Avenue, they're trying to build in the context of what's already there, and has been there in the past.

I really hope that GDS acquires 405 Park. It will be a huge missed opportunity if they don’t.

I leaned today that Chase Bank was named after Salmon P. Chase, Lincoln’s masterful Treasury Secretary during most of the Civil War.

It’s up there for sure. No doubt. HSBC will always be my fave. It was one of the very first buildings that I fell in love with for being capital-A-architecture rather than for simply looking cool and tall

Could those white strips on the steel beams be an indication that cladding will start soon?

Yes the steel is a gray color instead of its previous ferrous appearance. Additionally, the tarp covering the exterior of the floor is a giveaway.
