I don't want to explain it. The person it's directed to knows what I mean.

^proof positive that small can be beautiful. One of the best buildings downtown for sure. The inside public level looks to be very promising as well.

I like it. Certainly a vast improvement over the parking ramp it replaced. Although if you’d asked me which ramp to tear down, I would have picked the one next door that they left up. Talk about butt-ugly.

Some good news - Deluxe Corporation has announced it’s moving its headquarters to the old TCF building downtown.

I agree the other parking ramp was the more ugly of the two. I would have been fine if that was gone and then the newer one could be another plaza.

The new 600 workers downtown will be great. The building they are choosing is not my favorite. Perhaps down the road they might build their own tower.

Appreciate the update! Even captured the aura of the West Coast fire smoke over a good portion of the US at the moment.

Doesn’t seem terribly likely unless they combine more of their offices into one. 600 people wouldn’t fill up much of a tower.

I agree the (former) TCF building isn’t much to look at. The base has that weird arched brick theme borrowed from the old TCF bank branches (or was it vice versa?). It would be nice if they updated the base at least, but I get the impression the exterior remodeling is essentially done. I think the owners already sunk a bunch of money into getting it “presentable” for prospective tenants.

I think I read they are updating the base. So that is a plus.

I like the pictures. Haven’t seen it in person yet. But I keep thinking it should have been taller.

Yes, it was Bergan's SuperValu before. New building is a Lunds & Byerleys with apartments above.

That's a nice replacement, both as a grocery store and for the density.
