Looks fantastic, thanks for the update.

Adds some much needed weight to the city from that vantage point.

One (of many) great surprised about this tower is how thick it shows from a few angles.

I love having a tower this size in Vancouver.

Excuse the poor picture quality. I'll take more pictures as it gets closer to completion on better days (there's just 5 days of rain upcoming).

Here is view of Vancouver House from my apartment in Trump. It looks much better in person (especially on a clear day) - it has a fantastic angle on it:

As seen from Broadway and Prince Edward Street, near Kingsgate Mall.

Yes exactly. I wish more architects tried too hard.

This is a bad thing? Vancouver House is the best new construction in Vancouver for the last decade. It makes a huge statement as you come over the bridge and is noticeable in a positive way from so many parts of the city.

I actually find the bridge (south) side of the building to be quite boring.

But it does make a dramatic change once you get almost underneath it on the downtown side of the bridge.

The south side being typical in form (while still having a great texture) actually adds to the design of the tower. It acts as the “straight” man that emphasizes the curves of the other angles.

Think of it in terms of comedy, if every angle is screaming for attention it can actually make the entire building worse (think Ghostbusters 2016)

But if some angles have restraint (think Winston in the original Ghostbusters) it actually enhances the rest of the tower by giving the more dynamic angles something to play off of.

This is one of the best towers to ever grace Vancouver's skyline.

Only building that could unseat it is Kengo Kuma's tower. What a fun time to be an architecture fan in Vancouver.
