It's not the finished product

What's wrong with it?

More recently construction started next door on some kind of maybe 2 or 3 storey row houses. I'll have to look closer next time. But they're right up close to this building. Not that it's a great view of Lagimodiere, but kind of sucks for these people.

6 story building looks like it’s less than 10 feet away from 3 story?

^ I took a spin up Lag over the weekend and I noticed that... I'm all for density but it is weird to see how close together those buildings are. Once you're putting the buildings that close together, why not just do it properly with a party wall?

This project itself looks great for the purpose it serves. The neighbours thing is perplexing. Will look through the Clerk's page to see what I can find.

Its at least 20ft away, its disgusting the the city allows a low quality slap em up development, in between 2 higher quality developments, its like there are no architectural standards, the people that will live on the first 2 floors of the old folks home will look at a wall out of their window.

i will try and get some drone shots on weekend

Aren't all of those buildings part of the same development?

To clarify, the 2 - 3 storey memory wings and the 6 storey assisted living are part of the same development, which this thread is about.

There is now another smaller housing development going in to the north of the assisted living.

Bloom and Timber condos are to the north of that.

Ha. good timing.

The seniors will be looking at the backside of that junk. 12' read yard with 4' balcony overhang. So 8' from the property line.

Here's the 1475 Molson plans. Looks like they're between 15' and 25' from the property line. So not much space.

Even though that 3-storey crap is getting built I am liking the cluster of density that is occurring on Grassie/Lag. With that other proposal on Jacques it should really help that strip mall and the local businesses.

Speaking of that strip mall I wonder if there will be any plans to redevelop in the near future because it would be great to have something mixed-use on there.

Did anyone notice who the owner is, It is a numbered company C/O Marwest, which is the Martens Family, that owns Marwest and part of or most of Artis Reit

Pretty low quality development coming from this group
