Nice. That rooftop patio area should have some kickass views.

Very nice. Portland has some great designs coming out, and the developers and architects don't need higher height limits to get the job done right.

holy poop, we have so much going on over the next 5 years. A couple of them I hadnt even heard of.

I am really interested in the Jumptown Project, that should really stand out in the Lloyd district.

I have heard, from sources I probably shouldn't name, that the ZGF tower is pretty much a done deal and that the plan is to have it completed by the end of *2007*. That seems pretty aggressive, to me. But no complaints here!

How are building height limits in portland defined? Seems like a few buildings there touch 325ish feet.

yeah theres only 2 or 3 that hit 325ft, it would be nice if we could get a new tallest... we have yet to pass the 50 story mark but have a couple 40+'s

considering a major building takes about 2 years to build i would imagine they'd be starting pretty soon to meet the late 2007 deadline for the zgf bldg, btw what is the working name for the zgf bldg?

i agree jumptown is one of the most promising buildings on the drawing boards

my guess is that by june 2006 the following should be underway: 1300 park, oak tower, zgf tower, M&F project, the westerly, pearl safeway project, sowa block 38, maybe butler & jumptown.

Speaking of the Pearl Safeway project. Are their any renderings yet? From what I understand it will be ~17 story condo tower on the 12th-13th and Lovejoy Block and a 9 story office, parking, safeway building on the 13th-14th block.

Thank you for those photos and listings, pdxstreetcar. I can't believe all of that is going on in my little home town. I'll be passing thru PDX on AMTRAK next month on my way to a neice's wedding in Seattle. I'll be doing the same in July for another neice's Seattle wedding. So all I'll be seeing of PDX will be what I can take in from the lounge car as we're passing thru. I really want to plan a week's vacation in Portland just to see all that's changed in a mere 8 years. It's amazing!

Cool CouvScott's list

CouvScott, I have to admit I don't visit this site every day and living in the sticks I just have dial up. But you asked if anyone had info to add to your handy list of both built and being or to-be-built structures in Portland to let you know. For 4 years in the mid-60's I walked from my home on NE 16th and Stanton to Central Catholic High School on SE Stark and 24th. During that time I walked past both the Fontaine and Holladay Park Plaza as they were being built. I know it was a long long time ago but I remember the Fontaine was built first - probably 1965/66 - and it was 17 stories. The Holladay Park Plaza was built about a year later and it was 16 stories. That's all the info I can give you. I have no idea how many feet tall they are.

pdxstreetcar,

I believe that is a Residence Inn by Marriott. They have had one planned there for some time.

That Salmon Street is cool. Not a show-stopper but cool still.
