Is Schuylkill Yards not big enough? I'm sure uCity Square would be fine for them, but why have this when you can have Schuylkill Yards.

I'm actually glad we will get a break from the amazon stories. Call me if they select Philly- otherwise I'm worn out.

It kind of looked like they were starting prelim work on extending 37th through the site the last time I passed by the other day.

Yeah, they've been burying sewer lines (?) the past week or two directly under the course of 37th St.

I'd be interested in hearing what people think are the advantages of uCity Square as a possible site for HQ2? Does it have something going for it that Schuylkill Yards doesn't have?

Looks like some work is being done on site. I would assume utility work and eventually, road/street work to extend 37th Street, Filbert Street, etc. across the site.

A lot of site prep happening. Laying piping/utilities to prepare for the new streets.

I guess this is not part of the U City Square development:

But does anyone know if this is happening?

^ There's been no news on this for a long time. It would appear not (any time soon).

I was under the impression (aka vaguely remember reading somewhere) that they're finishing up the Market Street building, putting 36th street back on the grid and and then start on the residential planned for Lancaster Ave as the next step.

Unless a tenant comes forth for another office building, I can't imagine there would be much need for a news update on this currently.

^I was referring, in response to the post above mine, to 3.0 University Place, which is not part of UCity Square (it's at 41st and Market).

Is the site o the 28 story structure going to be on the southwest corner of 38th and Market Street? If so its affect will be good on the skyline overall because of the elevation of the site. It will be 28 stories but if your not in University City and looking at University City or Downtown; it will look taller then 28 stories.

Nice rendering I haven't seen yet. Looks like they turned the one residential highrise into a hotel. We knew they were calling the one office building One uCity Square, and the other Two uCity Square.
