Awesome, thanks!! I look forward to seeing the new stuff!

The Medical District Apartments are being redeveloped to include a new tower:
NW Corner of Ashland Ave & Taylor St | 19 stories/209 feet | 254-units| 245 parking | 28,000 sft of retail

The old YMCA building is looking to shrink from 583 SROs to 400, but include new office and commercial space

166 N Aberdeen has been reduced by two stories, and is now 18 stories and 198 ft. Looks like Curbed beat me to the news: https://chicago.curbed.com/2017/5/24...nts-new-design

20-story Fulton Market high-rise proposal shrinks by two stories
The revised plan would see the building rise 198—not 217—feet

by Jay Koziarz May 24, 2017, 12:26pm CDT

A high-rise rental tower proposed to replace the Fabbri Sausage plant in Chicago’s Fulton Market District won’t be quite as tall as originally revealed. According to a zoning application submitted to the City of Chicago, the building planned for 166 N. Aberdeen has knocked two floors off the previous 20-story design presented last month to less than enthusiast West Loop neighbors. At the time, MCZ Development had yet to formally file its paperwork with the city.

Other apparent changes include a reduction in ground floor commercial space from 5,000 to 3,900 square feet and a slight cut in garage spaces from 84 to 80. Unit count, however, has been reduced by just a single apartment and now stands at 235. This could mean that the average size of the dwellings has come down or that the overall unit mix now skews more heavily towards studios and one-bedrooms.

I think 3eleven turned out great. I like the pillars running through the corner balconies. I know it blocks some of the view from the inside but gives it some character looking from the outside.

That looks like a university building circa 1994.

I'm not going to bother posting the bad cell phone picture I took through Metra glass, but the tower crane at Milwaukee/Division is very noticeable, standing head and shoulders above the crowd. That new Division building is also quite prominent.

The brick is meh but it would have looked a lot worse without the windows. Still doesn't look great though.

1001 chicago is looking good, aside from the brick. Is that a skybridge for cars between the two parking podiums? Thats slick they should do that more often around the city. Especially for areas that fill up their garages, if of course it's the same owner. I think it would make sense for NW hospital area.

There is at least one pair of parking garages in the Loop that do that, as can be seen peering down this alley off of Jackson:
