That southwest view is amazing because it puts into view the huge change that the Wolf Point towers (including 150 N Riverside and River Point) have made on that part of town. Truly transformative.

Some thing happened yesterday - workers crowded by the river, fire boat, crane lowering something to the boat ?

I wasn't in bu my co-workers saw it and are curious.

I believe Walsh was doing a mock water rescue as a part of safety week. IIRC, I overheard something to that effect last time I was on-site.

Cheers to all the great pics and angles lately gang....

I thought the gathering was going to be something more exciting when I saw the speakers, mic and camera.... but nah... here is the shot...



I noticed the south side of the Franklin bridge doesn't lift this year. BUZZKILL... Maybe they disabled it somehow due to the remodel to the Art on the Mart installation? anyway, it impacts the majesticness (if that's a word) to the pics from this side.




And I gotta say... that brown sewage color contrast in the spring from the north branch is striking from the east branch fresh blue water... (+ 110 N Wacker Dr update)

The North branch is full of sediment like most Midwestern rivers meets the main branch super clean aqua marine lake water.
