Interior Demolition Underway At One Bayfront Plaza Supertall Site
https://www.thenextmiami.com/interio...upertall-site/

Quote:
The permit is for interior demolition of 278,000 square feet of space, at an estimated cost of $400,000.
County records show that the 19-story building on the site was built in 1958.
As of this morning, there does not yet appear to be any other demolition permits pending, other than for interior work.

Let's see if they actually demolish it this time since they gutted the interior of it already.

From the article above:
The 19-story, 65-year-old building is being demolished to make way for the new One Bayfront Plaza supertall.

A total demolition permit for the building was submitted on November 15, according to Miami Building Department records.

Interior demolition got underway earlier this year. The interior demolition permit was issued in May.

The new supertall tower will be a 1,049-foot “global landmark,” with Class AAA office space, a luxury convention hotel, and high-end residences.

Do you have any schematic or elevation drawings from the City of Miami for the current proposal for One Bayfront Plaza that you can post here.

Unfortunately the latest files submitted to Miami for this project were in the 2000s. The recent renderings floating are from architecture firms but since they weren't submitted under UDRB, there is no definitive elevations or design.

I will update the thread when this project is inevitably submitted to UDRB though!

At least some of the proposals call for an observation deck open to the public on the top floor. There should certainly be one, especially since Skyrise Miami project has been cancelled.

When will the foundation work begin? I swear that waiting for projects like this is like watching paint dry, at times.
