Montreal in 2020 - A review

I came back from a trip to India early March as covid regulations were tightening by the day. Everything was closing and starting to feel depressing. Later summer came and life was a bit easier. Autumn brought back lockdowns and then everybody started realizing how free they were during summer.

Here is my 2020 review of Montreal. Have to say there are worse places to be stuck in!

Montreal is a city with so much history and character and these photos capture that very well. Even something small like all those winding staircases make the city so distinctive.

I don't really care about their politics, their pussies, dicks, cracks or whatever. I'm more used to look at things from a technical standpoint.
This is a difficult picture to take.



Because the focus is on the protester sign, and everything in the background is blurred on purpose.
Damn, that is pretty hard to do. You got to be fast. Did you use any software to get this effect?
The protester is not static, eh. She is moving, which obviously makes it all the more difficult.
I don't know how such a picture is possible.

I carefully watched a lot of churches, and I like this too.



This is some kind of modern stained glass that you'll find from time to time in 20th-century Roman Catholic churches.
That is some modern art. The indoor effect of it is stylish.

You don't move that fast in a protest! And from a depth of field standpoint, the distance between me and the sign (relative to the background which is much further) is great enough to allow some movement before the sign goes out of focus. Hope that makes sense
