At least it is a nice neat construction site.

The first floor on the west side is rounding into shape. They dropped the concrete floor in a few weeks ago and are starting on second level's floor. The east side isn't as far along and there are only a couple of workers there on any given day.

Their original promise to be "Leasing for Summer 2021" is looking less and less likely each day.

I'm glad it's making steady, if slow, progress.

It’s interesting that it’s steel frame. You don’t see many six storey steel buildings. That’s the most expensive construction type these days. I wonder why not wood, or at least concrete block.

Is it cheaper to build concrete through? Especially here where concrete is probably the highest price in all of Canada. Steel seems to not have jumped as much as concrete. Just look at the two towers at the end of Pembina , all steel as well. I also think they go up alot faster IF the steel is readily available.

I have heard that Phoenix Crane is where some of the experienced operators from Litz crane ended up after Litz closed down. They apparently thought that they could run their own crane and rigging business instead of working for someone else.

If that is true good for them.

Depends who you are, what connections you have. Where your steel comes from. If you catch my drift.

But ya maybe they are coming closer together in cost. I'm out of touch on that front.

^ Finally. Hopefully we'll eventually see redevelopment at the corner of Osborne and Stradbrook to fill in at least one of the parking lots/forecourts.

One more floor according to the renders. It's been a long time coming not to mention there's still two more buildings to go.

it looks like they are concentrating on the part of the building that faces osborne. There has been no framing above the concrete base on the other sections.
