Re. the elevators, they're planning 98 units and there will no doubt be many unit combos during sales process. So probably 80-90 units tops, almost all owned by people with multiple homes. You might have half the units occupied at any one time, so I doubt the elevators would be problematic.

Correct. A hotel tower this is not.

Yeah, I'm pretty surprised they haven't released more street level renderings. This building is already financed, and there were some minor issues to clear up with the DOB, although there may still be a partial work-stop order on site. But this far along, there should be some type of marketing for both residential and office components.

That Fifth Avenue space should be a real draw. That restaurant/club space should be nice as well.

Very happy to see the crane on site. This will be only the second supertall skyscraper to rise on 5th Avenue, after the Empire State itself. And it will be a nice design, something to look forward to.

Thanks for clarifying where on the building each sample section corresponds to! I hope to see renderings of the entrance soon, as well as more close-ups in general as they market the apartments and the retail spaces.

At some point, 520 Fifth (and 570 Fifth) will enter the chat in this view...

Imagine this tower at 1,400 ft. Would be epic.

Even at 1,000 ft., it will still be pretty impressive.

1,400 ft is a good height, but for this particular area we need more varying heights. I think the design and height is perfect for the ensamble (though an extra hundred or two ft wouldn’t hurt). What we really need are more 1,600 ft+ towers. It’s becoming clear that a megatall is becoming neccessary to restore balance, like Godzilla, on the skyline.

My family owns a rebar fabrication shop so I love watching these buildings go up. Thanks for such great pictures.
