I'm more interested to know why their osborne village project is sitting dormant.

They have two different funds -- one's an REIT with all of their occupied and near-occupancy assets. The other has four future developments including this one. I wonder if they've raised the funds for the latter.

Does anyone know what's going on at 400-404 Portage Ave?
Looks like they have some sort of Crawler Crane on it.

That crawler has been sitting there for a long time. It was being used to lift dumpsters for Boyd building demo. Not sure what the status of this project(?) is.

They literally just had "some dude" cutting the awnings off, took weeks and they never finished. There was no signage, safety gear, scaffolding. There is still scrap metal hanging off the side of the building that looks like it could fall to the sidewalk at any moment. I don't know how this is allowed to be happening.

Winnipeg Community services dept hazardous building inspections from what I understand are reactive and not proactive. If nobody calls 311 and complains (or it is not the lead story on a major Winnipeg media outlet) nothing gets done.

A whole ton of interesting items before the committee on June 8.

There's about 7000 submissions on the residential infill guidelines. With some interesting takes haha. Also some well thought out takes. One of my favourite teachers from college has a good take.

Thanks for this, really fascinating. I just learned about the Airport West Residential Area.

Well that’s uncanny, just posting here with wishful thinking last week, and just saw this posted today. A variance application for a mixed-use on the old bread factory site.

Loved looking at these too! But when I looked at the CentrePort with the road work… just looking at it.. is the CentrePort Canada Way moving and making new interchanges even on the Perimeter or is the drawing just off from the actual roads…?

I believe that was the old Highway concept laid over what is there now.

There's an excavator on site today and they were hydrovacing something yesterday. I don't know if it's dormant or just slow moving.

Is this meaning they want to close the lane that used to be between the hotel and vendor (which doesn't really need to exist anymore) but the city doesn't want to? Can anyone translate the implications haha?

Also if it was 6 months from March 19 presumably they think they can get going by September latest?

City passed a bylaw on May 6 2020 to close the lane. I wonder if the LTO wanted half the lane to go to each side of the adjoining properties instead of being a separate parcel?

There's a lane, why use a curb cut? Is this another stupid case where they aren't allowed to use the lane for what lanes are for, or does this developer just hate money? You could fit another 24 units on that driveway.

Thanks for these. So is DMSMCA the organization developing the site?
