I think so too. I was there Sunday afternoon and found it more imposing in person than I could have guessed from photos or renderings. One of the photos I took on Oct 23, at 5:04 PM:

^ Yep, not only a most welcome departure from the blue glass boxes of late, but it is also at a location with a tremendous impact on the skyline. When it's done, we will see lots of tourists photograph this. Even One Chicago won't draw as much attention.

Very true. I think it will get generate some 'what city is this?' type curiosity when people post some photos of it to social media and elsewhere.

I see a lot of people photographing the confluence even though people here feel like there's too much glass. It looks a lot more diverse up close. People really seem to love River Point with it's reflection of the river + the new Calatrava statue.
