Well that's something I'm not going to be able to unsee.

The zig zag window patterns are so out of the box and appreciated, at least by me.

All of the West Campus towers are very visible when crossing the river on MoPac, but this one is particularly striking. It looks absolutely enormous. You really see the size of the floorplates.

Did you guys see that a pedestrian was killed by falling construction debris off the top floors of Union on 24th? Tragic, and scary. Be safe out there taking photos under these towers. Couple of articles about it:

Yea this is pretty scary. For what it's worth, I'm a student living in West Campus a few blocks from this site. I have ridden by bike a million times past here to go that Shell just like the victim. I also hang out at Abels quite often. I can tell you that one night when I was drinking at Abel's outdoor patio with my friends, the crane across the street at this U/C building was lifting a pre-fabbed panel from a truck on Rio to install on one of the upper floors. As he swing the panel around to 24th, it swung over the patio in an arc right above my head. Ofc, I support all the densification in UNO/West Campus, but pedestrians need to be safe. There are sidewalk sheds along the sidewalk along 24th for this site, but if stuff can fall and kill someone at the Shell across the street, that's very bad.

That stretch has become dangerous. I too pass by the site biking 2-3 times every other week, the bike lanes are not protected and pedestrians use it as well with the sidewalk being closed off. It’s also blind corner for vehicles turning from W 23rd onto Rio Grande, I’ve had a close call there. Could use some scaffolding for an area high in activity.

This thing is very prominent coming down Guad from the North. WC is almost looking like downtown until you get a little further down and spot 6XG dominating in the distance.

The band aids really do add some neat texture from a distance. I still can't unsee the band aids since someone called them out on here, and I will henceforth always refer to them as band aids. Because that's what they are.
