Fencing surrounds the site and an excavator is sitting in the parking lot. Looks like demo is imminent. Another surface parking lot down!

I've always wondered what the hell that windowless brick building is to the west of this site. Anyone have any idea as to what that is?

Last summer it was an EDM after hours club, I believe it’s a private studio.

I must have missed something as I'm seeing post saying second big ground breaking of 2023... Which was the first ground breaking of the year???

Demo complete but the parking lot is back open. Putting it to use one last time for SXSW I take it.

Kinda interesting -- I attended an info session for hotels put on by the SXSW leadership team, and during the talk the CEO guy said offhandedly that there's been a real lack of open lots for sizable activations this year. In the past, DT has had plenty of space for whatever brands wanted to do, but we're definitely losing some of that footloose, fancy free downtown vibe as everything gets developed.
