This again. Schools were open.

Europe didn't have widespread in-school learning until the Fall 2020, same as the U.S. At least in Germany, their policies (windows and doors open even in cold weather months, weekly in-school self-testing) would have never flown in the U.S.

The vast majority of U.S. districts, public and private, had some in-school option during the majority of the 2020-21 school year. If a parent wanted an in-school option that school year, there were possibilities.
