Thanks for the work or your model and for posting.

1201 W. Fulton looks shorter than its proposed 414'.
Oh good catch. I updated the design but not the height. Here it is as proposed.

It’s a portfolio concept design that yimby mistook for a real proposal. Not gonna happen.

In reality many or most of these projects aren't gonna happen. But that's alright because if even half of these get built it will still be a full scale transformation.

Hey Briguy,

I'm Lukas Kugler, the writer at Chicago YIMBY who put out the article on the twin tower proposal at 401 N Racine.

When we covered that in late 2020, the architect, PALMA, approached us with the project and wanted us to share it. We pushed for more details which they did not provide. From their email correspondence, they said that the proposal is for the owner/developer that is a private client that they did not want to disclose. According to them the project had been presented to the Mayor already and they were in design development.

We haven't heard any updates since then.

Yeah we looked at their website too and got the same impression. We decided to go ahead and put the renderings out there despite the lack of certainty of the development. We would've wanted more info on the developer and state of the project, but they weren't very open about any information for the building really.

Yes. Quite the convergence of infrastructure right here. Less than optimal for the pedestrian (understatement) but very impressive nonetheless.

Wow, those shots are impressive, and that area looks like something worthy of a visit next time I'm in Chicago.
