Have we confirmed the height at 570ft?

This tower looks incredible.

the best part is that all the renderings show the tower next to it to! Skyscrapers are back on the menu!

Love the height. BUT - there's no groundbreaking scheduled and the design still seems pretty conceptual based on the renderings. But it does give a Chicago-esque vibe, almost like a cross between the St. James and Arthaus (among my two favorite residential designs). I'm looking forward to this one and hopefully we won't have to wait too long. But I know tweaks will be coming and I hope they don't cheapen the design or lower the height.

From the Inquirer article:

Quote:
“It’s not the easiest time to do development projects right now, but that’ll hopefully change quickly,” Goodman said. “We’re going to put ourselves in a position to hit the go button when it makes sense to do it. It’ll be a temporary blip, but we’ll get back on track.”

According the the Inquirer there is no groundbreaking date, but they expect it "Soon" when they think the Market is right. But people love it, especially due to its preservation of the old cvs/theatre

Long time owners though, seem determined to build something here eventually. Hopefully it looks as great as these renderings do and we don't have to wait too long.

They're gonna need to drop rates almost as fast as they raised them. They over did it, IMHO, and if we're to avert a long-term recession, they'll have to be aggressive to a degree.

Typical Fed blunders.

Sweeeeet; nice and tall; slender build; quite nice.

576' and looks like a taller sister to the Saint James Condo; however I wonder now 3 things

1. Date of construction
2. Day and night views interior and exterior; it looks nice to finding out more about it
3. How will the tower next door to this tower effect the views of this tower? Which may not be known until after they rae both built for certain to be likely.

Any South facing views of this tower will be blocked, and north views for the other tower.

I wish the other proposed tower was planned for the burned hole on Walnut Street, or the ugly parking garage near 18th & Sansom.

Anyone just a little skeptical about this developer? I looked at their website/portfolio and it’s nothing but suburban shopping centers, wawas, Walmarts, and a few office parks.

And now they’re going to build a 576 foot tall tower in Center City, with literally zero high rise (let alone a 500+ foot skyscraper) experience. I want to believe it, but…

If that were to happen, it certainly wouldn't be the first an unknown proposes a nice big building. One tell for me that the plans aren't nearly finished, or even thought through, is that there doesn't appear to be any entrance to the upper floors. Not a terrible problem to overcome, but---.

Who owns this building? That might say something to the likelihood of this plan happening.
