I wonder how much longer MEC will stay on Portage? It seems like such a fish out of water now, and I'm guessing the new management doesn't have the same commitment to sustainable central locations as the old co-op ownership did.

Yeesh. A little actual enforcement wouldn't hurt on occasion.

If we are trading anecdotes about shopping at the MEC...

I was there just over a week ago. Walked in, purchased what I went to get, walked out.

I am kinda regular shopper there. Probably go in about 4-6 times a year.

I visited Hudson's Bay St Vital (store # 1117) today to make a series of returns. My previous visit (to any Bay store) was on Thursday, March 30th. They only accept online returns on the second/upper floor. Similarly they should only accept online returns at Hudson's Bay Polo Park (store # 1140) on the lower (basement level).

You must initiate a return from the orders & returns page with your thebay.com account or by visiting thebay.returnbear.com where you will receive a QR-code. The associate scans the QR-code with a tablet connected to the POS terminal and you will receive a refund only to your original method(s) of payment. Unfortunately my thebay.com account still directs me to the legacy Narvar Returns Portal where the associate must make returns @ the cash register using the 19-digit transaction ID number.

I wish the Return Bear returns desk was located near a door on the ground floor.

The Zellers section (on the upper floor) was larger than I previously thought and was so tightly merchandised. The "Hudson's Bay" sections of the store were not as intensively merchandised as the Zellers section.

Question Regarding Zellers

Were there shopping carts to use on the Zellers floor? I am very arthritic and cannot handle shopping without a cart to lean on. Thanks!

Love me some Zara’s. With this an H&M both here now we just need a Uniqlo to complete the trifecta of generic Gen Z drip.

One store i would like to see come to Winnipeg from USA: Aldi

Has anybody been to Aldi in Grand Forks and Fargo ND? That would be a great store for Winnipeg or canada in general

The US Aldo’s unfortunately not like the ones in Europe, don’t think Aldi or Lidl are interested in Canada!

At Aldi in Minnesota today, it's an extremely basic grocery store, not sure what make it attractive to you?
