Small footprint on this one, so it's really moving. It's almost halfway there now.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before but if not, here is the construction cam for Third + Shoal, which is technically for Austin Proper as well.

Found an article talking about Facebook’s purchase of office space at this building. http://www.512tech.com/technology/fa...9BmPIn00BkboO/

I wonder what it will look like when more panels go up and we have a shot from a distance. I agree - it definitely doesn't seem green from this angle, but glass plays tricks on the eyes sometimes.

It often hard to tell the true color of glass since it reflects the sky color and can look different on a gray overcast day than a day with a clear blue sky. In this pic you can tell it's more green than 500 west 2nd on the other side of the street. I agree we need to have more panels up so it can be seen from a distance before making a judgement.

Oh, that's definitely green. In JoninATX's photo up there, you can see the reflection of the Austonian shows it being pretty green in the reflection. It may even appear greener than Spring does.

Had me thinking he same thing as well Jdawgboy, then looked at the pics Corvairkeith posted realizing that the actual glass is green.

From yesterday:

I would call the glass teal. It's a blue-green. It's actually pretty close to a color used in some of the renders, especially the night pics, if I remember correctly. Looking at it next to 500 w 2nd which is almost a royal blue, you get quite a lot of contrast and the greenish hue pops.

I would actually say the closest color we have downtown is the glass on the new UT building. I've always seen it as a blue-green, and even just green in darker lighting. Third and shoal seems to be a few shades lighter than that.

The fact that it will stand out in color from all of the true-blue buildings in the vicinity makes me happy. That's enough for me.

It's definitely green-ish, look at the clouds in the reflection. I think it's pretty close to the renderings too.
