The most exciting part about Midtown, Downtown and the "SoNo" district are the amount of empty lots, parking lots, and unused buildings. There's been so much density coming in, but we still have so much room to fill.

me waiting for the not-even-parking concrete slab directly north of the 12th and Peachtree food truck spot to be developed

(Everyone here knows >9000 amount more than me about development here, why's that spot so cursed?)

There is a proposal for the site by Selig (developer of 1105 West Peachtree). Perhaps it will be their next development to move forward.

I hope that they make a few tweaks to this. Particularly at street level...

I really doubt it...I'd be surprised if they did. Probably just thought it would be a good match and plopped it in there. It's probably intended for a fairly small audience and they don't expect it to be shared publicly much.

That's probably true, it's on the slowest damn server I've seen in a long while, barely loads.

You can almost tell what's going on through the power lines and utility poles.

(shading the city not the pics)

i wish more people would shade the city about these damn power lines. i don't mind it as much on our tree-lined residential streets, but our commercial arterials look like a complete mess.

they've recently been putting the traffic signals on mast arm poles along piedmont between piedmont circle/monroe drive (morningside) and peachtree rd in buckhead. they've pulled down the old signals hanging from wires in some intersections, but at (at least) one intersection, the regular telephone/catv wires run literally right in front of the red and yellow lights, blocking their view. i seriously hope the next phase is to bury these, even if we can't get the transmission lines buried. (yet!)

I’m pretty sure there was an ordinance passed within the past year requiring all new developments to bury lines.

The layout of the office tower seems a bit awkward. Especially how half of a second floor begins in the west side. It seems to be two conjoined buildings?

Many towers have smaller maintenance areas/floors. When mark was going up it had one too above the lobby level nearer to Peachtree Place
