I am a little surprised given how hot the residential market is, that they have not moved forward at this time with plans for the second phase, which I believe is mostly residential.

They are not going forward with the second until the first phase is done. Kinda the point of building in phases.

NYC - Future 2035 supertalls - 45 + not including anything that gets newly proposed between now and then (which will likely put it over 50)

That has been working it’s way through some type of federal approval for funding, something to do with rail access for Gateway.

Not the whole block though, just the corner. It’s site 1 of the Penn Station redevelopment plan. Most of that block is a nice residential street. A new residential building is nearing completion just across the street.

Off topic but my god the base to the unfinished Metlife tower is massive.

270 Park covers the same size block, gives an idea how massive it will be!
