Which one is 17th? I think IL and PA both have cases to be made for that spot.

Ah, ok... I think I read it was used as some less vulgar way to say "damn", that would be an actual swear word (a real curse) in the US.
So I would sometimes use it as an understatement, myself, instead of "damn" or "fuck", while I'm not exactly from the red area, to say the least.

Bah, I don't mind. Not affected by your national issues or stereotypes anyway.
You know, they just say "damn" would be rude, impolite.

Here in France, we've got hundreds of ways to curse. But I guess it's better for you guys not to be aware.
I shouldn't even tell you.

We’ll trade South Florida for Indiana. Who do I talk to to make this official? Might as well throw in New Orleans too while we’re at it.

Hilarious. Ironically the bottom states minus California would be my last choices to live.

Mostly same. I've never been to New Mexico, but Breaking Bad made it seem like a nice place. But there must be a reason that the Californians have leapfrogged it in favor of Austin?

I actually love New Mexico. And I'm very glad that people have been leapfrogging it; I don't want it to change/get ruined by too many people living there.

Funny, because my 3 favorite states of the US are "bottom" states: California, New Mexico, and Hawaii.

Yeah, bottom west is certainly better than bottom east. While the best of the top states is biased towards the east.

Unlikely, as most Canadians would choose Arizona, Florida, California, Hawaii based on their winter migration patterns.

The show about a cancer patient cooking meth for a drug cartel made New Mexico seem like a nice place?
