That's what I think. Odd way to word it. Why not just say second reading approved. We'll go with that!!

Here is the photo.

Sperra Development - Stratford

Things are moving slowly. My first photo I took of this
was back in March 15th. That's over a month ago. Slow but may be due to a lack of workers or steel availability.

Kays and A-1 Vacuum are not moving to the corner of Walker Drive and Garfield as they are going out where the old Leon's was in the former Sears Building and opening sometime after the summer months.

Anyone hear when they will be starting the 503 University Avenue project. Now that the MCC building is gone, I read June but when I went back into the city council meetings, I can't seem to find it.
Anyone hear or see anything on the start date? We sure know how slow the wheels of construction move along here.

My daughter got an apartment (duplex) in Stratford recently. There were over 2,200 people looking into the duplex and sent in applications to rent. Blew me away! She was very lucky to get it.
That goes to show that construction starts are too slow and everything needs to be done, everything from permits to workers, to get the 5000 proposed units in the Capital Region underway.

Pine Drive Apartments

Finally, after years of IRAC holdups, the NIMBYS had to give in
because this 42 unit will provide much needed living space that is close to schools, parks, shops, etc.
They started last week with most of the foundation nearing completion.

Trailside Apartments

The Trailside apartments will provide a lot of new units to the area. My only beef is I wished they would have gone higher
for more density. Here is the poster rendering.

Here is a photo of its progress.

See more on next post.....

Trailside Apartments

West of the apartments that are being built (see previous photo) they have started the foundation for that apartment building, you can see this in the foreground.

Phase II

The Planning & Heritage Department recommends that the application for a Major Variance to maximum permitted building height for a proposed apartment building on the subject property, be approved, subject to a Development Agreement.

The second apartment site prep has begun and the fence is in place. This should begin very soon.

BTW, the first apartment is completely full.

UPEI School of Medicine

Update photo of the UPEI School of Medicine which is
moving along well. The parking lot in the foreground
is being prepared for concrete lamp pole bases and leveled.
