Also, I can't remember where I read it, but didn't CTC get an extra floor, so the height is higher than 1121 ft.

A company controlled by Roberts and his wife, Aileen, sold the condos to Comcast for $13.5 million, a loss of $820,000 from their 2016 purchase price, according to financial disclosures from Comcast.

Interesting...thanks for pointing that out. That loss is peanuts for them in the bigger picture...and I guess they don't want to live above "work" for one reason or another...

A mechanical floor was added above the 46th floor. Look back at the original cut away elevation and you see a gigantic space above the floor above the terrace

You'll be able to see elevators climbing either side of the lantern from the art museum, west philly and beyond. To me it's obvious in the design that this thing is built to dazzle at night in an integrated and functional way unlike any other skyscraper in north america. I would have liked some of the materials to look better during the day...especially the cladding on the west side....but i think when this is finally done a lot of the sins of the day will be absolved by it's glory at night
Has any of the above come true? I know 'they' made changes with the lighting on the spline and lantern for several months after the hotel opened and it looks better. But there still is a small section near the top of the building that doesn't seem lit. You can sortof even see it during the day. I wonder if they have just given up on trying to make it consistent top to bottom.

Comcast 2? Yes, it's been finished for a long time.

Yes, the last section opened August 2019. However, Comcast CEO Brian Roberts chose to not go with his plans to move in on the 45th floor (the floor with both terraces). The floor still currently has construction lighting inside though they said the floor will be designated for residential purposes soon

There was rumor of a third Comcast tower being bandied about a couple of years ago. I imagine that's kaput now.

I don't see much of a reason for any new skyscrapers now. I work in one, and I'm in my office only 1 day a week, I work from home 4 days. Anything newly built now is purely residential. I do not see why NYC is building so many buildings when they lost 365,000 people. My company says we will never go back to 5 in office days.

Also, that looks like a better looking CTC Center.

Someone should whisper in his ear: “Hey Norm, factories aren’t *that* cool, mate.”

Coming back to this thread and seeing that one comment above about how CTC's light stick would be able to change colors and do animations brings pain to me. I would do anything to see that thing change color just once
