Thanks for the summation, FrankieFlowerpots. Good news. Still, I imagine it will be quite a while yet before we see any movement on this project.

Wow, wonderful, but I'm not going to get overly optimistic. Thanks for posting.

Long, Long Timelines with this one.

I'm pretty sure final approval won't come for at least another year or two. But once approval comes, the sales process will begin.

Realistically, I agree that the approval is still a couple years away. They have to alter roads for this one. We will be lucky if construction starts by 2017. By the time the project is fully built out, we are looking at 2021-2022 IMO. Be patient guys!

why does the title say 272 meters? this is 292. I also wouldn't be surprised if this turns into our new tallest, the city is going to be looking for ways to reduce the shadowing of this literal mountain of towers, and adding height along with a reduction in density is probably how they will want to break this up so that there is more natural light.

Oh dear. The shadow police again. People in Lapland don't see sunlight for 5 weeks straight and we worry about only getting indirect sunlight but sunlight nonetheless. Do we really need direct sunlight in absolutely every stitch of metro? I prefer the shade anyway.

I think the 272 meters is before the application was submitted and we were speculating that it would go over 300 meters / 1000 feet.

Also, it's more than the three towers in the title. I believe it's six, in addition to the Star building extension.

For a longtime, the skyline was moving west, now it appears to be growing in an easterly fashion.

Rumour has it, that they might eliminate one of the bldgs. and increase height on the tallest

^That wouldn't be so bad. I'd be happy if they eliminated the ugly (office?) proposal at the corner of Queen's Quay/Freeland. I find the "chop off one of the top corners of the building" neo-aesthetic immensely irritating. The other four I dig, though the tallest is probably my least-favourite of those 4 from a design perspective.
