Do you have or are you planning a track layout to go along with that fine looking city?

Probably any local architecture firm that builds models, and especially if they build models for other firms... These days I bet u could find someone willing to cut some stuff for you as a side deal. You might also luck your way into some scrap models or supplies that you can make use of.

I would maybe try and look around for a web community of local model builders or architects or something, and try to see if anyone knows someone, or has a cutter themselves.

When I used to have to build a lot of architectural models for school, I went around to hobby shops (which I was familiar with from competitive RC racing when I was a kid), and some of them would give me busted and damaged stuff for free or super cheap, and I could use parts of it to build my models without going broke buying all of the supplies from a typical outlet.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the comments sorry I've not posted more on here for so long.

theWatusi

Yes I'm planning multiple trains in this city build up. Trains would be Mass Transit some sort of skytrain set up with viaduct stations etc. Then I'm building a huge industrial area for my city with a steel production industry. I've got so many steel structure kits to build. The Blast furnace is over 300 feet in scale really cool. So there'll be hoppers, quench cars, coke cars, etc. And various other trains as the city will have a port as well.

Some of my latest models I've done or am doing since my last post..

Still working on this one...hence the half finished canopies

Tomix bank

Kato facade pieces...this is just a facade piece I bought four of them. Then I have to build walls, roof etc for it.

Tomix 9 story office building...

plans for this building...

I've got a lot of work to do to this building and I'm still waiting for 2 extra kits. The building is getting painted interior lights, and a very very detailed ground floor.

more to come....

I don't know but these things are EXACTLY what I want to build when I have a basement and the time & money. It would go well with a train set.

These models look awesome!

^ Tony, these are N scale and very small models. The plus side is you don't need a whole lot of room for a decent layout. The next scale up in size is HO and that's about twice the size of N.

Here's a couple of sites which sell structure models and there's some pictures too:

I've been wondering about him too. I'd love to see more updates on his models.

Thanks!!! :D

Hey guys. I was taking a film course in Vancouver at the Vancouver Film School. Such a good experience and fun. Though I was away from doing any modeling and hardly any computer time too.

So in short that's where I was!!! hahahaha.

I'll update some of my latest builds. But by all means please view my flickr account as I love the views and the comments etc.

Give me a few and I'll host some more images up here. Hope everyone is doing well!

Cheers. Oh and I've got some awesome photos of Victoria and Vancouver from taking the Seaplane back and forth through the fall.

This is what I started with..a bunch of crappy buildings I bought off ebay...ripped them all apart and rebuilt it with bashing it with 2 different kits.

Thanks again, Ex.

Here's my latest photo spread of my last N scale project. I built this over the weekend. I really like how this one turned out. I find the more I model and the more I interact with other modelers online my buildings get better and better. Always learning right! .... Let me know what you think!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/5506372...7623333424010/

As for others wanting to build n scale models or other scale models this is a great site. The forum here has only been running for 6 months but everyone on there is awesome. There's also some really informative articles on there too. Check it out...
Nscalelimited.com

That Said my good camera is broken right now so I'm looking at getting a really nice camera sometime this year...early. When I do, I'll be back at getting fun photos.

Cheers, All.

loved, ur really talented. Have you tried to do it ur hobby commercially to those construction companies developers to put it, maquete, at the stand where the sell the apartments? Seems things like that. It is a good job. I would love to work for some architect doing a job like that, but my tries resulted nothing. Okay i didn't had nice pics like that to show... so.. and every my child models i threw it away, no space.

Anyway your ship i liked most.

How would cost doing the model of the MASP building of Sao Paulo as miniature to me? It is impossible to find as souvenier.

Hey, sorry for being so long in posting on here.

M.K. are you still interested in that model you were asking about?

Here's my latest project... I'm taking 3 of these little tomix models and making an office high rise out of them.

I'll be adding more pictures this week.

I'm half way along here's my progress here on my flickr link.
