Speaking of artists, musicians and such, Arts on the Ave is hosting a fundraiser this Friday at the absolutely spectacular renovated Parkdale Community League hall. This is an extremely talented group that has supported and promoted the arts community throughout the city.

Kanye West skipping Calgary, heading to Edmonton on upcoming tour

Once again some Calgarians will speculate and be left with a case of arena envy.
Hip-hop star Kanye West has announced the dates for his upcoming Saint Pablo Tour and the city is noticeable once more by its absence.
West’s Western Canadian run will take him from Winnipeg’s MTS Centre on Oct. 12 to Edmonton’s brand spankin’ new Rogers Place on Oct. 15 before heading to the coast for an Oct. 17 Rogers Arena show.
For those wanting to take a road trip up north — it is a Saturday night in E-Town — tickets for the show go on sale this Saturday from livenation.com, and range from $29.50 to $149 (plus service charges).
