Cousins would have to revise their plans for 901 West Peachtree if it were to include 22 7th St. The project presented in 2018 did not include any parcels east of the mid-block alley. In March of last year, they purchased 21 8th Street and in November they added both 27 8th Street and 22 7th Street.

They are likely revising their plans for the project now that they own both sides of the alley. This could be why it has been delayed.

These properties are for the Cousins office tower on W. Peachtree.
903 Peachtree is a CA Ventures development.

I really hope to see both of these get off the ground.

You are right. The project we were both referring to is Cousins 901 West Peachtree. I mistakenly stated 903 Peachtree.

OK my bad. I figured it was something like that but couldn't find the address for the Cousins tower. Man I hope that thing is a GO!

ASCENT DOWNTOWN Construction Update - All photos by me except rendering from Curbed

Looking North

Looking East/South

Existing Retail

Where it is heading

Rendering via Curbed

By my count it has approximately 18 more floors to go. If this fills up we are going to see a lot more downtown.

Cousins WP would be a great feather in the cap for 2020. Keep bringing more jobs to downtown and midtown

I think Ascent Downtown will léase quickly. It’s in a great location for anyone that works downtown or anywhere in the metro really with quick access to 20/75/85.

This really can't be overstated. I don't think a lot of people realize just how convenient downtown is to everywhere else. I live in Fairlie-Poplar, and drive to Macon several days a week. It is one of the easiest drives out in the morning and back in the evening. Super easy MARTA access to almost anywhere you want to go. Rail to the airport, Buckhead (we shop at the TJMAXX and stores around it), work/Whole Foods/Publix in Midtown, etc., and by bus to the Belt Line (hello #816!) and of course up and down Peachtree. We even take the Streetcar to Edgewood District, and can't wait (but we will) for it to make it onto the Belt Line. Maybe our son can ride it to Henry Grady High when he is old enough.

Not to mention downtown's bicycle infrastructure. With the new(ish) cycle tracks and PATH it's super easy to get up to Midtown (yay downhill), over to Georgia Tech / Westside, and to Grant Park.

I walked past Bezoria today. They are moving out and there is a sign in the window they are leaving due to Plaza redevelopment. I didn't see if Noodle is still there.

That’s taller than originally depicted.

I thought so - thanks for confirming. I think the relative height of the 'roof' structure compared to the rest of the building is less than the previous rendering.

Midtown atlanta

Midtown Atlanta
@MidtownATL
Tonight was our first Development Review Committee of 2020! The DRC saw three presentations: a revised application to add six new floors of commercial space to the Campanile building, plans for a 46-story mixed-use tower by Trillist and a partial rebuild of Blake’s on the Park.
