Still not crazy about the 18 story bump out. Maybe it will look better covered in glass. It might have looked even better if it went to the top.

I just flew in from out of town this afternoon, and driving back home (headed Southwest), This building looks MASSIVE on the skyline when getting hwy 71, leaving the airpot.

It's interesting from some angles this building looks absolutely massive, and some it looks about the same height as the Independent.

And from this most recent viewpoint (directly southern view) it wont even be visible due to the Republic. When an 874 foot tower is obscured from a classic skyline view (SRV statue) you know DT has moved to the next level.

Several different angles of 6x from last week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibLx6MV-35o

I didn't realize the entire bottom half is lit up inside at night now.

This is a behemoth when viewed coming into Austin from the south on I35 as you top the hill just south of Onion Creek Pkwy. It dwarfs everything. I only mention this because of the comments about how some angles belie its size.

Yeah, I've seen that and it's impressive. I've said it before, but upper deck 35 headed south is s t u n n i n g and massive.

One of those shots toward the end, you round 6xGuad and see the itty-bitty Frost bank show up. We've all said it, but what could've been....
