Again ignoring the border crossing, 15 minutes from Madawaska, Maine across New Brunswick to Quebec. You could probably even make up some time on the TCH.

And about the same from the QC/NB border to Fort Kent, Maine.

I figured as much. I'm a South of the Charles guy, so not much youthful experience breaking speed limits in that area, but I did manage to make it from Providence to Foxboro in 15 minutes at 2:00 AM on a Tuesday in August. The stupid things you do when you're in high school and have a car...

Aren't there also some odd Belgian exclaves in the Netherlands that would let you jump back and forth between the two countries every few blocks?

EDIT: this is awesome - Baarle-Hertog

H12 is like what, someone's garage?

H12 is worse than that: a random chunk of field. This is the northeast corner, south to N7. However, the other pieces tend to be houses in one country, inside another county, inside the first country.

That’s very strange and interesting. Had no idea this existed. So if you live in one house you are a paying Belgium taxes and your neighbor pays taxes to the Netherlands. Very strange.

I've been to Baarle-Hertog. Guy who used to post here on this forum took me there. Very quirky area. Border between BE and NL just runs all over the place...like this beer store:

you can do ohio-indiana-kentucky in a blink around I-275 the loop highway around western cincinnati.

in eastern ohio you can also do ohio-wv-penn quickly via east liverpool, ohio.

you really cant do it in ne ohio. it takes about 45min or so to drive from conneaut, oh thru erie, pa, the small lakefront strip of pa, to ripley, ny at the ny state border.

edit: in billingstown in farthest nw ohio there is a little marker in a cornfield where ohio, indiana and michigan meet:

Michigan - Indiana - Ohio State Lines, 3285-4549 N 1000 E, Fremont, IN 46737

Isn't Needles many miles south from Laughlin/Bullhead City?

Maybe, I always remember it as one of the last places you get to before reaching Laughlin. When you're on a long road trip, a few/dozen miles doesn't seem all that long. I made the trip to Laughlin from SoCal many-a-times.

EDIT: 26 miles away to be exact. Wow, it always seemed like it was right there in my trips to Laughlin but like I said, I had the road trip mentality.

Been to all three. Bullhead City has grown quite a bit. The AZ side of the river Bullhead to Havasu seems to be flourishing compared to Needles.

1960 the population of Mohave County was only 7,700, it was pretty much the Wild West just 60 years ago. Today the population is around 210,000.
