Yes, from models and renderings, it looks to have an above-ground podium.

That’s a shame. Miami won’t really look like a real city if the pedestrian experience is dominated by towering parking podiums.

Yeah, I don't really find the parking podiums attractive either, but many of these projects have at least screening and pedestrian activation so it can turn out decent if done right.

More concerning is the 80-story blank wall on the back side. It would have another tower behind it for much of that height so at least it will be largely screened from view.

Dewatering permits were approved, in which dewatering is usually the first signs of site prep. A foundation and main permits still under review. This and Baccarat will add a ton of units.

Breaking ground today after receiving the record for the largest single-tower residential construction loan ever obtained in Florida.

The loan was 350 million by Banco Inbursa and 250 million by Ascendant Capital partners, totaling 600 million.

The tower will be the tallest in Brickell at 940 FT.

Super exciting. Miami's so close to really breaking out to the next level. A half a dozen 900+ footers in planning/construction will do that.

Miami's development is so crazy that it seems like nobody knows a 940 ft tower just broke ground in the U.S. today

It's nice to have a couple of 900 footers and one supertall over 1000' being built at the same time. Hopefully more can come for the Magic City!!!

They’re not wasting any time! Miami is so hot that I’m like, “Oh yeah, I had forgotten about this 940 footer.”

It's definitely crazy. At some point two months ago I thought the cycle was over due to the inactivity and in these past weeks everything just ballooned.

I'm old enough to remember the Capital Brickell towers that were slated to go there

I’m old enough to remember the Met III groundbreaking party we were organizing. I was bummed when it went belly-up and I remember thinking that Miami would never have another boom like that. Boy was I mistaken.

Miami found another gear.

Exciting times for NA - new tallest buildings (multiple in some cases) in these cities are currently under construction: Miami, Toronto, Austin (new tallest in all of Texas).

^ And Monterrey (also NA I guess). Don't forget Nashville and Omaha

This is exciting though!
