This tower looks really good u/c on Google Earth, if you want to see how KL is laid out and where it is in relation to the bulk of the skyscrapers. The true magnitude of it doesn't really come through in photos, probably because of its setting. There's something about KL's urban fabric that reminds me of Los Angeles from an overhead perspective.

The Klang Valley is geographically delineated by the Titiwangsa Mountains to the north and east and the Strait of Malacca to the west. It extends to Rawang in the northwest, Semenyih in the southeast, and Klang and Port Klang in the southwest. The conurbation is the heartland of Malaysia's industry and commerce. As of 2012, the Klang Valley is home to roughly 8 million people. (Wikipedia)

Insane height and an awkward design.

Australian architecture, Fender Katsalidis designed as symmetry crystalline tower

Quote:
As the building continues to rise, its crystalline massing and faceted glazing are making a substantial impact on the Kuala Lumpur skyline. The geometric expression of the tower, comprised of multiple triangular shapes, reflects those found in traditional Malaysian arts and crafts.
