How close is the core to T/O? I know there's a crown, but it's gotta be close based on the number of floors above that double amenity level.

Holey fuck

Do you fly the heli or someone else.

Good luck up there wishing you only the best.

Don't get too close to those tower cranes to wipe out your blades for christ sake.

The last thing we need is to lose you....

Thanks!! I shoot, the pilot flies. No way one could do both. While I direct them where I want to go, the pilot is always looking around for any obstructions. Most of the photos in my post above were either taken from Wolf Point East or a conference room in River Point.

Based on my count there are two more floor plates and then they will be at the main building roof below the penthouse (3 more slabs to go in total). Based on that, the core must be getting very close to completion, and at very least has likely already poured the last residential floor.

[QUOTE=vexxed82;8646685]A big 'ole update from various visits to WPE in July:

well damn is right...

Nick - can you tell us what floor you were on here? That Lake + River Canyon view is something else!

As we're getting close to topping out I can confirm several floor forms have come down and have been stacked and/or been disassembled.

Great pics gents! Summer is looking good on the river. And not to steal WPS's thunder but 333 Wacker is top 5 favorite building in Chicago. I continually have the urge to thank KPF for that green glass and shape.

To me, it appears way taller than it actually is. I was admiring it from Ohio St this morning and it really sticks out. What a tower!

Agreed, got that impression again today:

She compliments Kirland and Ellis's tower perfectly:

Just wish it was backed off a bit from the Merch Mart. Don't like how close she encroaches. That building deserves more reverence, imo. Oh, well. It's a beaut regardless.

Even now, under construction, it's a beautiful thing.

Thanks Nick!

And I agree Bonobo... this guy is the perfect height for the corner... WPE off the glass. I squeezed in 110 N. Wacker as well... NOTE: Police boats lined up for National Night Out in the district.
