Hrmmm...thinking positive and all...but I don't know. We only placed 5 in the medal table in Torino, which was our most successful winter games ever.

And Norway beating out Russia in medal counts? Really?

Everybody knows that some of Canada's top athletes favoured to win gold always choke and win nothing. Then the lesser known Canadian athletes fly under the radar and win medals. This AP article serve as nothing but a jinx for our athletes

Well I would have to say if Canada gets at least one gold metal, we should be happy finally winning gold on home turf.

But hopefully we shall get more

That was a remarkably good set of predictions. Alpine skiing is so tough to predict, but they nailed it a couple times with Svindal, Tina Maze and Maria Riesch.

Del Bosco could've got a bronze for us if he played it safe at the end.

The predictions were pretty spot-on, give or take a few gold/silver swaps. Would be nice to see a side by side comparison between the two to see how many were actually true.

But as he said in a post-competition interview, he did not train for years and enter the Olympics to "play it safe." He is a competitor. He plays to win. Thus he went for it.

I have nothing but respect for him.

Now for the women's curling team, which had an opportunity in the tenth end and the extra end to put the game away but choked both times, that is a different story.
