The next four games will be the biggest test the Jets have faced all year. A three game road trip to Florida, Tampa Bay, and Carolina, before returning home to face the mighty Bruins.

The Jets are in free fall, and need a miracle to win more than one game. I really hope Hellebuyck starts to play lights-out again. We really need a hail Mary for this.

Today's game:

No Morrissey
No PLD
No Lowry
No Perfetti
Riitch starting in net.

We need an absolute miracle to win against Tampa.

Ridiculous jets win back to back with decimated lineup from injuries. Might as well make the moose the main lineup.

I hope that despite the injuries we've taken after a rough 2 months, I hope the momentum continues in the next couple games in this road trip.

We are currently 3rd in the Central, and we need to win more game from here on out. If we can't make top of the Central and win the division pennant, at least try to take 2nd for the home advantage come playoffs.

Hellebuyck continues to be outstanding. He definitely needed these two wins in the state of Florida.

Its interesting how they've played some of their most inspired hockey when suffering multiple injuries in the top 6 and 4. When Ehlers, Wheeler and Perfetti were out earlier in the year we put up good numbers. They all came back on the same day and since then have languished.

Bones argued at the beginning of the season that regardless of talent players would need to earn their spots but he hasn't really followed through with that when weve been healthy. Maybe injury has done it for him.

Well the Jets got lucky thanks to Helly playing lights out in Florida. I would not mind a split in the upcoming games against Carolina and Boston, but I am not optimistic.

On the other hand, Minnesota was fortunate that Reimer was 'lights out' last week, while Bucky was a sieve for the first part of that game (3 goals on 9 shots if memory serves correctly). Hero one minute, goat the next, and so it goes. We'll see which goalie shows up tonight.

One can say that about nearly every goalie in the NHL. The Jets just happen to have one of the best in the World.

I'll take a streaky Helly over a mediocre Pavelec any day of the week.

For some strange reason, the Jets played their "other" goalie. So they lost 5-3.

Luckily the Flames also lost.

Nashville won, and is closing the gap on us.

Scheifele was a disappointing -4.

^ Top line got benched for a long stretch in the 3rd. Not a great sign. The same old drama is playing out again.

Also, on the goalie thing, I get wanting to keep Helly fresh for the Bruins, but the games are two days apart... you would think that would have been enough time for him to rest and recover had he played last night?

His playing schedule has been different than previous years. Didn't he play back to backs in Florida? That usually is not the case for most teams.

Play Rittich on Sunday. Then let Hellebuyck take on Carolina and Boston. Seems like a good sched.

In terms of the standings. The loser point is really impacting the Jets this year. They've won most of their OT games, where other teams have sizeable amount of OT loses. Such as Dallas with 13. Winnipeg actually has more wins than Dallas. yet one is 1st in the Div, the other in 8th place. Possibly out of the playoffs if Nashville goes on a run.

Got to love how Schief picks and chooses the games he puts effort into.

Look like Connor has learned this act as well!

Holy fucking shit!!!

The Jets beat Nashville in OT.

A huge game, and now they are in the drivers seat in regards to the last playoff spot. Calgary has been lousy, and Nashville was doing well. Now the Jets face a Blues team without Binnington, who was suspended.

^^^ you mean a team the Jets should absolutely not lose to because they are so much better than the Blues.

…I smell a loss.
