There is not one building in the recent, massive explosion of blue perversity in what is called the Hudson Yards which is not an abusive

fist in the eye.

This building is the worst monstrosity of the bunch.

Blue Hell.

As far as I know, it hasn’t. Last time I was up there, I asked one of the employees when it would open, and they didn’t know. I was thinking it would open now that the state is opening up, but I’m not sure how many more regulatory hurdles remain. They also could be waiting for the fall, to make another splash when the Summit at One Vanderbilt opens.

Also, on another note, the Top of the Rock is getting a makeover. Not sure what that entails, but I’m sure it will be great.

Wow! nice views. I look forward to visiting 30 Hudson Yards on my next trip there. I haven't been in Manhattan since 2012. It's certainly not the old school city I knew of it back in 1985. It's crazy seeing how the skyline has evolved over the years with so many new towers going up.

Hey NYguy, how you been? Glad to see you're still around. It's been years since I've been on this forum.

Is this the original Go7SD? It's been a long time.

Yes, according to the way back machine I am the original Go7SD when 7SD in Chicago was just a new proposal and scanning old photos using photostation were all the craze. The good old days. Yes, it been a long time. Even though I'm no longer in my 20s and 30s my love for architecture and skyscrapers still remain strong at heart. Hope all is well with you, NYguy.

Wow you joined in July 2001? Was there a reaction thread to 9/11?

I actually joined in December of 1999 on one of the older versions of the forum (before this one). When the next version was created you will only see 2001 for the oldest members on here. Yes, I do recall once seeing a thread regarding 9/11 but I don't believe it's around anymore unless it was archived. Since then NY has come back stronger with so many new projects like 30 Hudson Yards which I look forward to visiting in person when I return to the city. Based on the photos Nyguy posted the vantage view point from 30 Hudson looks completely different from what I'm use to seeing from the ESB. Sadly, I never got the chance to visit the WTC before they went down even though I saw them from a distance many years ago.

Ah ok. Thanks. It would be cool to see such a forum/thread from that day and the following days after.

20 years ago. Wow. The world has changed so much. If not for Covid I would still say 9/11 was still the most recent event to change the world.
